What are Fragrance Notes?Updated 10 months ago
You can think of fragrance notes as the individual facets that combine to create the overall scent profile.
There are top, middle, and base notes:
Top
Top notes are the liveliest and most volatile components in a blend; it’s the top notes that often make up the initial impression of a fragrance.
Middle
The middle notes bridge gap between the top and base notes and are often referred to as the body of a scent. It’s the middle notes that are at the very heart of a fragrance.
Base
Beneath the top and middle notes are the base notes. These consist of the longest-lasting materials and make up the final impression of a fragrance.
